Siena Career Coaching works with professionals in their early and mid-careers. We offer 1:1 video coaching sessions to help you solve your biggest challenges and achieve your goals. We have worked at companies both large and small, with good cultures and challenging ones. In our careers, we have made mistakes, we have achieved big things, and we are here to offer guidance on a range of topics:
- Interview prep. When searching for a new role, it is imperative to present yourself and your accomplishments in the right light. We offer support with story telling and presentation skills to help you land the job of your dreams.
- Navigating career changes. Unhappy with your job? Looking for something else? Many of us start out in an industry or with a company and then realize we absolutely do not want to be there any longer. We have helped folks identify their strengths and find a role that is fulfilling to them.
- Up-skilling. Many young professionals reach a point where they are unhappy and think that going back to school could help them land a role or with a company that is a better fit. We help you think through the options of going back to school, staying in the workplace, or doing both at the same time.
- Managing difficult boss situations. Unfortunately, most companies promote folks into management roles based on how long they have been with the company rather than who is best fit to lead and help their direct reports grow. We can help you work through difficult situations and, hopefully, find a better spot or manager.
- Increased confidence. Bad managers think that withholding positive feedback forces you to work harder to get any encouragement. This should be a red flag that you have a bad boss (see above). Sometimes an expert outside opinion on your capabilities, thought processes, or achievements is what you need. We offer you not only an impartial sounding board to question, reflect, and move forward but also actual feedback and guidance that you rarely get from HR, therapists, or mentors.
- New job onboarding. Starting in a new company, team, or role is exciting and a bit nerve-wracking. It is also a chance to let go of past mistakes or behaviors and start a new set of relationships and actions. We can help you identify less-than-ideal behaviors and give you the confidence to face your new role with success.
- Technical skillbuilding. Having spent many years working in the corporate world, I know my way around Excel and Powerpoint. For those looking to gain new skills or advance their career, we offer
hands-on technical sessions.
